KUCHING, March 14 (Bernama) -- The Bebuling Short Take-Off and Landing Airport (STOLport) project in Betong is expected to be completed by November this year, said Sarawak Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas.
He said the Betong Division and its surrounding areas would benefit from air services provided by the state-owned airline, AirBorneo.
“As of today, the Bebuling STOLport is 73.77 per cent complete,” he said in a statement here, today.
Meanwhile, Uggah said that the Bebuling Collecting, Processing, and Packaging Centre (CPPC) was almost ready, with only minor touch-ups remaining.
“Another project in Betong, the Sungai Paku Bridge, is also progressing well, with 65.88 per cent complete,” he added.
