SEPANG, March 16 (Bernama) -- Bernama’s annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme remains a vital platform for supporting those in need, backed by strong collaboration from various strategic partners.

Acting chief executive officer of Perbadanan Nasional Bhd (PERNAS), Tengku Mohamed Fadhli Tengku Hamzah, described the initiative as not only timely but also aligned with its commitment to supporting disadvantaged communities.

He emphasised that PERNAS remains committed to strengthening its collaboration with Bernama to implement more such programmes in the future.

"We have previously collaborated with Bernama on several CSR initiatives, and we intend to continue this partnership. PERNAS remains actively engaged in supporting targeted communities.

“Bernama’s programme aligns perfectly with our long-standing objective of supporting those in need," he said at the Bernama CSR 2025 programme, held at Masjid Inayaturahman, Kampung Batu Laut, Tanjung Sepat, today.

MTD Group’s head of Corporate Planning and Communications, Noorfarizan Lod, welcomed the initiative, describing it as significantly beneficial to the community.

“We appreciate Bernama for inviting us to be one of the strategic partners for today’s programme. Alhamdulillah, I hope everything runs smoothly,” she said.

She reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting Bernama’s welfare programmes, particularly those aimed at assisting the underprivileged.

“Ramadan is a time to bring joy to those in need. This is a programme we will continue to support because I truly believe that blessings are meant to be shared,” she added.

Meanwhile, Rimbunan Kuasa Sdn Bhd vice president (Sales) Kelvin Sow Wai Phang expressed his delight in participating and emphasised the company’s commitment to supporting similar initiatives in the future.

Meanwhile, Tanjung Sepat assemblyman Datuk Borhan Aman Shah praised the initiative, describing it as a meaningful effort to support the local community.

"On behalf of the residents, we extend our gratitude. The contributions are not only for underprivileged children but also for the mosque, which encourages us to continue welfare programmes for the community," he said.

He also attended the Iftar gathering held in conjunction with the programme.

In addition to PERNAS, MTD Group and Rimbunan Kuasa Sdn Bhd, Bernama’s other strategic partners were Tenaga Nasional Berhad, Maybank, Maju Expressway Sdn Bhd, and Perbadanan Kemajuan Pertanian Selangor.

This marks Bernama’s third annual Ramadan CSR programme, following its inaugural event at Bazaria Lembah Pantai in 2023 and the second one at Dataran Putrajaya last year.
