KOTA KINABALU, March 17 (Bernama) -- The Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah Tun Musa Aman today received a courtesy call from Defence Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Khaled Nordin at Istana Seri Kinabalu here today.
Sharing on his official Facebook page, Mohamed Khaled said it was their first meeting since Musa was appointed as the 11th Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sabah in January.
Mohamed Khaled said the meeting gave him an opportunity to inform Musa about the security situation in Sabah as well as discuss defence challenges, both from within, and outside the country.
"The Federal Government continues to play a leading role in ensuring that Sabah's security is under control and has allocated more than RM2 billion for the development of defence infrastructure in Sabah, including the construction of three new security posts to ensure Sabah's sovereignty and security," he said.
He also took the opportunity to invite Musa to attend LIMA '25 held from May 20 to 24.
"Hopefully, the close relationship between Sabah and the Ministry of Defence can continue to be strengthened to address security challenges more effectively and ensure that the region remains peaceful and safe," he said.
