LABUAN, March 19 (Bernama) -- The Labuan Correctional Centre’s Tahfiz unit today received contributions, including a refrigerator, Raya cookies, and dates, from Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
Armizan's contribution was presented on his behalf by Labuan Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS) division chief, Rosli Awang Damit, and was received by the centre’s director, Alik Makim.
Rosli said that the refrigerator was a personal contribution from Armizan, intended to enhance the centre's facilities. The centre also received Raya cookies and dates, in the spirit of Ramadan.
“The Minister was unable to attend due to his busy schedule, and entrusted me, as his party colleague, to present the contributions on his behalf,” he told Bernama, today.
Rosli added that Labuan PGRS remains committed to community outreach, strengthening ties with local residents through its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
"Over the past two days, our committee members have been distributing dates to visitors at the Ramadan bazaar in the town centre," he said, adding that the effort reflects the party's dedication to supporting and engaging with the Labuan community, during the holy month of Ramadan.
