KOTA BHARU, March 20 (Bernama) -- The Public Service Department (JPA) has distributed Ramadan food aid to 36 e-Kasih recipients in Kampung Telaga Ara, Gunung, Bachok, through the Santuni MADANI Programme.
National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) director Datuk Dr Mohd Zabri Yusoff said he delivered the aid on behalf of the Director-General of Public Service.
He added that the initiative was part of preparations for the Tautan Perdana 2025 Programme, which will take place on April 19.
"The aid recipients are from the asnaf group, registered in the Implementation Coordination Unit’s (ICU) e-Kasih system, and are classified as poor, with a per capita household income of no more than RM532," he said.
"The Santuni MADANI Programme is an ongoing initiative aimed at not only distributing aid but also improving the community's well-being,” he said in a statement today.
Mohd Zabri said eight key areas were being planned to benefit local residents, focusing on poverty reduction, education advocacy, improved healthcare access, job opportunities, unemployment, and community safety.
According to him, the programme was also aimed at enhancing community safety, preventing drug abuse, promoting infrastructure development, and supporting environmental sustainability through green technology.
“Efforts are being made to upgrade the telecommunications network and instal solar lights in areas that have been identified in Kampung Telaga Ara.
“The JPA expresses its appreciation to strategic partners, including the Kelantan Federal Development Office, the State Education Department, the Kelantan National Anti-Drug Agency, the Bachok District Office, and several non-governmental organisations,” he said.
Mohd Zabri said that the cooperation was in line with the Santuni MADANI goals, which encouraged a whole-of-government approach to realise the Public Service Reform Agenda and enhance the well-being of the people.
