LTAT'S JALINAN WIRA VOLUNTEER TEAM COMMITTED TO SUPPORTING MAF PERSONNEL

LUMUT, March 21 (Bernama) -- Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) has established the Jalinan Wira volunteer team, committed to supporting the welfare of both current and former Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) personnel.

LTAT chief executive officer Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi said the volunteer team, formed in February last year, is fully managed by 170 LTAT employees and plays a key role in facilitating the distribution of aid. 

“Whether preparing bubur lambuk during Ramadan, assisting veterans during floods or contributing to environmental conservation, this volunteer team is committed to dedicating more time beyond their official duties.

“This initiative is an ongoing commitment to honouring those who have dedicated their lives to the nation,” he said after the Mahabbah Kasih Ramadan and Jalinan Wira LTAT Iftar gathering with personnel from the Western Fleet Command Headquarters at the Royal Malaysian Navy Base here.

 Also present were LTAT chairman General (Rtd) Tan Sri Azizan Ariffin and Western Fleet Commander Vice-admiral Mohamad Azuwan Harun.

Mohammad Ashraf added that Yayasan LTAT and LTAT have also provided financial assistance to 17 armed forces personnel and their family members facing critical health issues during a programme held at 5 Rejimen, Kem Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah, on March 13.

He also highlighted the financial literacy briefings for armed forces personnel, aimed at enhancing their understanding of financial management, social protection, and retirement benefits.

“This initiative ensures that MAF personnel are not only appreciated but also equipped with financial knowledge to secure their well-being, both during service and after retirement,” he said.
