KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 (Bernama) -- The Sultan Ibrahim Johor Foundation (YSIJ) today distributed disaster relief kits to 259 families placed at temporary evacuation centres (PPS) after their homes were flooded.
YSIJ Trustee Datuk Avinderjit Singh said the donations were presented to 155 families from the Senai state constituency and 104 families from the Bukit Batu state constituency.
"YSIJ consistently provides aid to ease the burden of flood victims housed in several PPS, and we hope this donation helps create a more comfortable environment at the evacuation centres," said Avinderjit in a post on the Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar Facebook page.
According to the post, the handing over of the donations was held at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Senai and attended by YSIJ chief executive officer Mohd Anizam Jamian and Kulai Chief Assistant District Officer Mohd Fadzli Mohd Zaid.
