MELAKA, March 23 (Bernama) – Yayasan Waqaf Malaysia (YWM) has donated RM40,000 to four welfare institutions operating in Melaka and Johor.
In a statement, the foundation announced that three of the beneficiaries are orphanages, namely Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Islam Ledang Tangkak (PKAYIL), Lembaga Pengurusan Anak Yatim/Miskin Melaka (PAYASUM), and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Darul Khusus (PEYAKIN).
Additionally, a donation was also given to Yayasan Waqaf Pendidikan Anak Yatim/Miskin Malaysia (YAWATIM) to support the welfare of orphans.
Each of the institutions received a contribution of RM10,000.
The statement also highlighted that, in line with the declaration of Ramadan as the National Waqf Month by the Prime Minister on Feb 27, YWM continues to actively distribute various forms of aid.
This includes the distribution of Dana Wakaf Tunai amounting to RM323,352.00, Dana CSR of RM73,300.00, and Dana Manfaat of RM14,000.00.
