KUALA LUMPUR, March 21 (Bernama) -- The Tourism Industry Awards 2025, to take place at Sunway Resort Hotel, Petaling Jaya, on Aug 9, is offering a total of 80 awards across various categories.
Tourism Industry Awards 2025 organising chairman Datuk Emmy Suraya Hussien said the awards aim to honour the contributions of Malaysia's travel and hospitality industry.
"Among the categories are the best destination, sustainable tourism initiatives, outstanding hotel and accommodation, tour operator of the year and innovation in tourism.
"This award not only recognises outstanding achievements but also serves as motivation to continue innovating, enhancing service quality and ensuring that the industry remains competitive internationally," she said during the press conference at the Malaysia Tourism Centre (MaTIC) here today.
Also present were the Malaysian International Tourism Development Association (MiTDA) president Captain Mahadzir Mansor, Tourism Malaysia senior director of package development Mohd Roslan Abdullah, Tourism Selangor event and focus tourism manager Mohamad Faroul Mustaffa Ngadamin and one of the esteemed judges for Tourism Industry Awards 2025 Rohizam Md Yusoff.
According to Emmy Suraya, the awards ceremony is hosted by MiTDA in collaboration with Tourism Selangor and Santai Travel.
"We warmly invite all tourism industry players to participate in this award. Nominations are open from today until June 30 and entries can be submitted through www.mitda.com.my/tourism-industry-awards-2025," she added.
