SIBU, March 24 (Bernama) -- Sarawak has fully recovered from floods following the closure of the last two temporary relief centres at the Sibu Jaya Community Hall and Kanowit Sports Complex Hall in Sibu Division this evening.
The State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said the Sibu Jaya Community Hall, which housed 25 victims, was closed at 1 pm, while the Kanowit Sports Complex Hall, which sheltered 185 victims, ceased operations at 5 pm after all evacuees were allowed to return home.
Earlier, the relief centres at Asrama Belia Kapit and Dewan Suarah Kapit were closed at 9 am, followed by the Selangau Multipurpose Hall at 12 pm.
