KANGAR, March 25 (Bernama) -- Agrobazaar Kshoppe, a marketing outlet managed by the Perlis Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), has become a top choice among consumers for the purchase of a variety of festive cookies for Aidilfitri celebration.
Perlis FAMA director Mohd Anzara Azizan said sales at the nine Agrobazaar Kshoppe branches in the state have reached nearly RM200,000, marking an increase of almost 90 per cent during Ramadan compared to regular days.
He said the significant increase reflected the high demand for Agro-based Food Industry (IMAT) products, which not only benefited consumers but also helped local entrepreneurs expand their market reach.
“Among the most popular outlets are Agrobazaar Kshoppe Pynat Cakes & Cookies, Agrobazaar Kshoppe Mama Nory Bakery and Agrobazaar Kshoppe Siding Klasik, which offer a wide selection of traditional cookies, modern festive biscuits and cakes,” he said in a statement today.
As part of its efforts to strengthen its marketing network, FAMA plans to develop and upgrade two more Agrobazaar Kshoppe outlets in Perlis this year, with an allocation of RM25,000.
“This initiative is in line with FAMA’s goal to ensure that local products remain a preferred choice among consumers while establishing Agrobazaar Kshoppe as a key platform for entrepreneurs to market their products,” he added.
