KUALA LUMPUR, April 5 (Bernama) -- Sunway Theme Parks is celebrating this Hari Raya Aidilfitri with the theme “Raya Sejuta Warna”.
The vibrant and culturally immersive festive programme at Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World Of Tambun started on March 31 and ends on April 20.
In a statement, Sunway Theme Parks said the celebration brings together traditional charm and modern excitement through a series of cultural performances, interactive activities and culinary experiences.
“The celebration promises guests of all ages an unforgettable Raya experience with lively traditional dances, engaging games and festive delicacies,” the statement said.
On April 4 and 5, visitors to both theme parks get treated to various performances, including a Kompang Parade, traditional dance showcases, buskers and cultural presentations highlighting Malaysia’s rich heritage.
Guests also get to enjoy special meet-and-greet sessions with Sunway Theme Parks’ mascots dressed in festive attire, such as Captain Quack and Family at Sunway Lagoon and Captain Quack, Lady Quack, and the Colourful Ketupat at Sunway Lost World Of Tambun.
Traditional kampung house replicas and glowing pelita lanterns provided scenic photo opportunities, while nostalgic games such as ‘slide-the-ketupat’, ‘Kain Pelikat Race’, and the ‘Scoop the Sampul’ challenge add interactive fun for families.
The Festive of Colour finale captivated guests with a high-energy Flaming Percussion performance, followed by the breathtaking Flying Ketupat display in the night sky.
The celebration continued with a Raya Sing Along session at the World’s Largest Surf Pool, marking a historic moment as Sunway Lagoon created waves at night for the first time, and concluded with a dazzling musical fireworks show.
“Raya Sejuta Warna” is held in collaboration with AmBank, and tickets are available via the official websites of Sunway Lagoon and Sunway Lost World Of Tambun or through the Sunway Super App.
