MEGA CARNIVAL COMBINING KUD, HPF AND SDSI TO BE HELD JULY 3-7 - FELDA

KUALA LUMPUR, April 10 (Bernama) -- A mega carnival, featuring the Rural Entrepreneurs Carnival (KUD); FELDA Settlers’ Day (HPF); and the One District One Industry (SDSI) Showcase, is set to be held from July 3 to 7, marking the first time these three major events are held together.

The Federal Land Development Authority (Felda) said that the mega carnival - combining three annual events under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW) - will take place at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), here in Kuala Lumpur.

“This integrated event is more than just a platform to honour the contributions of settlers and showcase local products - it carries a significant mission to elevate homegrown brands and pave the way for their entry into the global market.

“Themed ‘Desaku Mendunia’, Felda believes that this mega carnival can strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem, enhance market access, and create new opportunities for international collaboration,” the agency said in a statement, today.

Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, said that the organisation of the mega carnival was finalised during a coordination meeting for the implementation of the three events, which he chaired.

Felda expressed its full support for the initiative, with its chairman Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, stating his confidence that this holistic approach will bring significant benefits to settlers, rural communities, and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the country.
