MEGA TAWAU CONCERT TO LIGHT UP SABAH MADANI RAKYAT PROGRAMME 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, May 4 (Bernama) -- The Sabah MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2025 is set to dazzle with the Mega Tawau Concert, featuring some of Malaysia’s most popular artistes.

According to the Performance Acceleration and Coordination Unit (PACU) of the Prime Minister’s Department, the concert will take place at 8 pm on May 10 at the Tawau Municipal Council Square. Among the performers are Datuk Awie, Stacy, Akim, Felix Agus, and Tekun Band.

PACU said the concert is a key highlight of PMR 2025 Sabah, which carries the theme “Ending Poverty Through Entrepreneurship”.

“Combining entertainment with exhibitions of government services and local entrepreneur participation, the event not only adds excitement but also serves as an important platform to boost the people's economy and promote community unity in Sabah,” it said in a Facebook post.

Running for three days starting May 9, the programme will also feature health screenings, social advisory services, government agency exhibitions, and multiracial community integration activities.

Organised in collaboration with the  Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives  (KUSKOP) and the Sabah state government, the event will involve participation from federal and state agencies. It includes initiatives based on five key pillars - housing, education, employment, welfare,  entrepreneurship and training.

Education and career opportunities will be emphasised through a career carnival and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes. Meanwhile, the MADANI Sales will offer essential goods at affordable prices.

The Sabah PMR 2025 closing ceremony will be officiated by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at 2 pm on May 11.
