OMBAK VILLA UNVEILS SENJA, LANGKAWI'S FIRST SEAFRONT EVENT HALL

ALOR SETAR, May 5  (Bernama) --  Ombak Villa Langkawi, a resort operated by MK Land Holdings Bhd, has launched SENJA, the first seafront event hall in Langkawi, adding a striking new feature to the island’s event destination landscape. 

In a statement today, MK Land said SENJA was designed with a strong emphasis on versatility, sustainability, and the surrounding natural beauty, making it a unique venue that redefines event experiences in Malaysia.

“Set against the sea, SENJA offers breathtaking panoramic views, providing a backdrop unmatched by any other event space on the island,” it said.

SENJA is a flexible venue that caters to both indoor and outdoor functions, with the capacity to host up to 400 guests indoors and 300 outdoors.

This makes it ideal for a variety of occasions, including corporate conferences, product launches, graduation ceremonies, and weddings.

In line with Ombak Villa Langkawi’s sustainability goals, SENJA incorporates several eco-friendly features, including 24 solar panels, a rainwater harvesting system, natural ventilation, and passive cooling techniques.

“Large glass panels maximise natural lighting, while sustainable materials were used throughout the structure,” MK Land said.

In addition, 33 mature coconut trees were preserved on-site, demonstrating SENJA’s commitment to environmental conservation. More than 100 new trees and 3,000 shrubs have also been planted around the landscaped grounds.

These green initiatives support SENJA’s aspiration to obtain a Silver Rating from Green Real Estate (GreenRE), which would make it the first event hall in Malaysia to earn such certification.

Complementing these efforts, the resort’s eco-farm Daun & Akar cultivates over 15 varieties of herbs, fruits, and vegetables used in its dining outlets - promoting the ‘farm-to-table’ concept with fresh, chemical-free ingredients.
