PENGKALAN HULU DISTRICT COUNCIL PARTNERS WITH KUDR FOR DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

IPOH, Sept 26 (Bernama) -- The Pengkalan Hulu District Council (MDPH) has formed a strategic partnership with the Darul Ridzuan Utility Corridor (KUDR), a key initiative by the Perak state government aimed at driving the digital transformation of utility management through the KUDRAT smart system.

In a statement, the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk) announced that this collaboration represents a significant milestone in strengthening governance, development, and the efficient delivery of integrated utility services in the district.

With this partnership, Pengkalan Hulu becomes the fourth district in Perak to adopt the system, following the Ipoh City Council (MBI), Taiping Municipal Council (MPT), and Teluk Intan Municipal Council (MPTI).

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed yesterday and witnessed the State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching, at MDPH.

"KUDR introduces a new, more systematic, transparent, and efficient approach to coordinating utility applications and project implementations," said Sandrea in the statement.

She added that the KUDRAT system allows all processes to be handled digitally, eliminating the need for physical office visits, saving time and costs, and improving transparency in every development process.

She also highlighted that the platform enables more effective coordination in terms of safety and project efficiency, which ultimately boosts public confidence in the state government’s planning and capabilities.
