KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 27 (Bernama) -- Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi has directed that appropriate assistance and support be provided to the two Selangor Public Works Department (JKR) personnel involved in a four-vehicle accident at the Bukit Kajang Toll Plaza, Kajang, this morning.
He said in a Facebook post that before the accident, Mohd Hafizi Anuar and Aliq Hazua Muhammad Musalal were carrying out maintenance work at the Kajang Prison building.
"I was informed that both of them sustained serious injuries after the departmental vehicle they were in was hit by a lorry believed to have had brake failure in the incident.
"The Works Ministry top management and JKR staff are deeply saddened by this incident. We pray that both victims recover and that their families are given strength and patience in facing this difficult trial," he said.
He also expressed his condolences to the family of an infant who died in the accident that occurred at around 11 am.
In that incident, eight victims were reported injured and have been sent to the Kajang Hospital for further treatment.
