SKPS, BUDI95 IMPLEMENTED SMOOTHLY IN SARAWAK - KPDN

30/09/2025 07:40 PM

KUCHING, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- The first day of the Subsidised Petrol Control System (SKPS) and BUDI MADANI RON95 (BUDI95) initiative rollout in Sarawak has been smooth sailing, so far.

Sarawak Domestic Trade Ministry (KPDN) director Matthew Dominic Brian said they carried out monitoring at all petrol stations statewide and did not receive any complaints.

He added that the ministry also opened SKPS counters at all branches in Sarawak to provide clarification and assistance to applicants, besides mobilising its enforcement officers to assist the public.

"We will ensure the SKPS is implemented smoothly. Enforcement officers will be stationed at every petrol station in the state for thorough monitoring,” he told reporters after surveying the Petra Jaya Shell here today.

Matthew said the ministry will conduct daily inspections to prevent leakages and misappropriation, including ensuring the RON95 fuel is not sold to those ineligible, particularly foreigners.

"We urge all petrol station operators to comply with regulations and carry out their operations prudently and ethically as monitoring will be conducted daily,” he said.
