KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 25 (Bernama)-- Sunway Lost World Of Tambun has brought back the Halloween celebration with ‘Screamfest 4:Sihir’, an immersive experience that blends local myths, rituals and supernatural legends into one night of Malaysian-inspired horror.
Fully conceptualised and produced by the Sunway Lost World of Tambun team, the homegrown event goes beyond typical scare attractions by showcasing Malaysia’s rich folklore through modern, interactive storytelling that highlights local heritage.
Sunway Lost World Of Tambun assistant general manager Brian Francis said Screamfest is more than just a Halloween attraction as it celebrates Malaysian culture and stories.
"What makes it special is that everything, from concept to execution, is fully created by our own Sunway Theme Parks team. This is how we keep our stories alive and reimagine them through modern, experiential storytelling for a new generation," he said in a statement.
This year’s theme, "Sihir" (Black Magic), draws inspiration from centuries-old myths and mystical beliefs, transporting guests into a realm where rituals, spirits and dark enchantment collide.
Guests will journey through seven haunted experiences across the park, each inspired by chilling local tales. Highlights include Misteri Gua Langsuir, Lembah Makhluk Hijau, Lorong Saka, Jamban Sepi and Tren Neraka.
Each attraction combines immersive set design, atmospheric lighting, soundscapes and live performers, creating an experience where Malaysia’s supernatural stories come alive.
Visitors can also enjoy thrilling rides, including Stormrider, Dragon Flights, Giddy Galleon, Perak Parade and Swan Lake, along with live show stages and scare zones, strategically placed throughout the park to heighten suspense and energy all night long.
Unlike many global Halloween events that draw on Western Horror, Screamfest proudly draws from Malaysia’s own legends and myths, from kampung ghost stories to tales whispered through generations.
This storytelling approach allows both local and international visitors to experience Malaysian heritage in a way that is engaging, immersive and unforgettable.
