KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 17 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim expressed confidence that the expertise and experience of Kuala Lumpur’s new Mayor, Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud, will strengthen the development of the federal capital into a competitive and liveable global city, in line with MADANI values.
Anwar, who received a courtesy call from Fadlun today, said the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss key initiatives for a more progressive and competitive future for the city.
“Among these are efforts to enhance the River of Life project, chart a more structured path for urban development, expedite approval for the One Stop Centre (OSC), and improve the ecosystem for hawkers and small traders so they continue to have space, support, and fair opportunities in the metropolitan economy,” he said in a Facebook post.
Anwar also extended his best wishes to Fadlun in carrying out his duties, while ensuring continuity of the former Mayor Datuk Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif’s good work in elevating Kuala Lumpur’s profile to a more distinguished and respected level.
