300,000 EXPECTED FOR RANCAKKAN MADANI WEEKEND IN PUTRAJAYA

CYBERJAYA, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- Approximately 300,000 people are expected to flock to Dataran Putrajaya this weekend for the Rancakkan MADANI Bersama Malaysiaku (Rancakkan MADANI) programme and the 2025 National Public Service Reform Convention.

Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar said the event will offer a wide range of services and activities for all segments of society.

“Bring your families. The programme runs from tomorrow until Sunday. There’s something for everyone, from cat lovers to those needing a free haircut. We’re also giving away 5,000 motorcycle helmets,” he told reporters after riding the MRT from Cyberjaya City Centre Limkokwing station to Putrajaya Sentral as part of the event’s promotional efforts.

Shamsul Azri, who chairs the Rancakkan MADANI Steering Committee, said 5,000 job vacancies across various sectors will be available during the three-day programme.

He said the convention’s highlight on Sunday will feature both Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof.

“Their session, titled MADANI Government: Retrospective and Mapping the Road Ahead, will discuss issues including bureaucratic reform, improvements in health, education and poverty eradication, as well as public service perspectives on three years of the MADANI Government.

Rancakkan MADANI will also showcase activities under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship, coordinated by the Foreign Ministry. These include a replica of the ASEAN Summit Dome, highlights of Malaysia’s 2025 ASEAN leadership, and interactive engagements for visitors.
