KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 11 (Bernama) -- MIXUE Malaysia has achieved a milestone in 2025 with over 100 of its outlets obtaining halal certification from the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), a move expected to boost consumer confidence in the safety and halal quality of its products.
In a statement today, MIXUE Malaysia said its rapidly growing network of outlets had positioned it as one of Southeast Asia’s largest tea and ice cream beverage chains, reaffirming its commitment since 2022 to aligning business strategies with Malaysia’s cultural and social values.
It said that the halal recognition from JAKIM was strategically important, reflecting the brand’s dedication to strengthening its presence in the local food and beverage market.
“In 2025 alone, our halal team successfully assisted over 100 stores in obtaining certification, and MIXUE will continue to expand the number of certified outlets in the future.
“With this halal certification, MIXUE will continue to adhere to its mission - to strengthen the brand, enrich its partners, and allow everyone in the world to enjoy high-quality and affordable delicious products,” the statement read.
At the official halal certificate presentation ceremony, JAKIM’s Halal Management Division director Muhyiddin Aziz @ Saari symbolically handed the certification to MIXUE Malaysia general manager Wang Wei Long, witnessed by Malaysian Islamic Propagation Foundation (YADIM) Investment and Fund Generation Division director Ummu Hani Husna Abdul Aziz.
Wang expressed his sincere appreciation to the institutions and partners who had consistently supported MIXUE’s halal journey, including JAKIM, YADIM, media partners, franchisees, and distinguished guests.
He emphasised that every process at MIXUE was carefully examined to ensure full compliance with JAKIM’s halal standards.
“From raw material procurement to outlet operational procedures, we comply with all JAKIM requirements and have developed a comprehensive MIXUE Halal Assurance System.
“Every outlet is required to follow this procedure to ensure consistent quality, transparent management, and legal compliance throughout the country,” he said in the same statement.
Meanwhile, MIXUE’s Halal Project lead Guo Xuying expressed her gratitude to government agencies for their professional guidance throughout the certification process, which has helped MIXUE continually improve and strengthen its Halal Assurance System.
She emphasised that halal certification was not merely a promotional tool but the starting point of MIXUE’s commitment to social responsibility and brand strengthening.
“Halal certification is not the end goal but the beginning of MIXUE’s ongoing dedication to social responsibility and brand enhancement,” she added.
