YSIJ CONTRIBUTES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO HSA, HSI

JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 7 (Bernama) -- Yayasan Sultan Ibrahim Johor (YSIJ)) continues to strengthen Johor’s public healthcare sector through the contribution of critical medical equipment and facility support to Hospital Sultanah Aminah (HSA) and Hospital Sultan Ismail (HSI) here today.

According to a post on the Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, the contributions aim to enhance the quality of patient care as well as provide greater comfort for frontline healthcare workers.

The handover ceremony for HSA was officiated by YSIJ Trustee for Operations Datuk Avinderjit Singh, who presented the contribution to HSA Director Dr Mohd Nizam Subahir at the HSA Paediatrics Department Hall.

Also present was YSIJ Chief Executive Officer Mohd Anizam Jamian.

Among the high-technology equipment donated to HSA were the Atom Sunflower Infant Radiant Warmer and the RAD-97 Pulse Co-Oximeter for neonatal use.

In addition, HSA also received a BeneFusion Syringe Pump, a Trauma Stretcher for the Emergency and Trauma Department, as well as 15 units of water filters for use by patients and visitors.

Dr Mohd Nizam expressed his highest appreciation and described the contribution as a significant support for the hospital in view of its very heavy workload.

“HSA is the main referral centre for paediatric specialist treatment for the entire state of Johor and parts of Melaka. With birth statistics reaching 12,000 annually, the need for advanced neonatal equipment such as the Infant Radiant Warmer is extremely urgent,” he said.

Meanwhile, the handover of contributions to HSI took place at the HSI Specialist Office and was officiated by Avinderjit Singh, who presented the donation to HSI Director Dr Zuraini Zainal.

The contribution to HSI focused on specialised equipment, including a Hydro Surgery Wound Debridement System for surgical wound cleansing, a Muscle Meter, as well as 14 units of water filters for public use.

Avinderjit Singh also took the opportunity to visit patients at the HSA Paediatrics Ward as well as the Surgical and Oncology Wards at HSI following the handover ceremony.
