#MADANIMEMBANTU CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO BOOST GOVT EFFORTS TO HELP THE PEOPLE

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 12 (Bernama) -- Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Dr Zulkifli Hasan today launched the #MadaniMembantu Campaign in conjunction with the Minister’s Address at the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) as an initiative to boost the ministry’s ongoing efforts to assist the people.

In a Facebook post today, Zulkifli said the campaign is also an initiative to ensure that assistance reaches the people in the best possible manner.

Meanwhile, he said the RM2.6 billion allocation announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) in Budget 2026 will be utilised optimally for the management and empowerment of Islamic affairs, including administration, policy development, dakwah programmes and the strengthening of religious institutions.

“Support will be provided to the fullest extent to mosques, surau, religious schools, tahfiz institutions, pondok institutions, asnaf (tithe recipients) and students of religious institutions through cost-of-living assistance, education and community development based on MADANI values,” he said in the post.

Zulkifli also said that the immediate allocation of RM200 million announced by the Prime Minister recently is intended for repair, upgrading and maintenance works at religious schools and tahfiz institutions nationwide.

According to Zulkifli, all these initiatives prove that under the administration of the MADANI Government, with the support of officers from the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) and the Malaysian people, Islam continues to flourish, thrive and remain safeguarded in the country.
