OPPO MALAYSIA CREATES NATIONAL RECORD VIA ITS RENO15 SERIES 5G ROADSHOW

PUTRAJAYA, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- OPPO Malaysia created a new national record after its OPPO Reno15 Series 5G Opening Roadshow was recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for organising the Largest Balloon Drop Event, involving the release of 6,000 balloons at a shopping mall here.

The record recognition was presented during a certificate handover ceremony by MBOR representatives Mohamad Nazrul Hafizi and Edwin Yeoh to OPPO Malaysia chief marketing officer Monica Qin.

The milestone was achieved during the roadshow held from Jan 13 to 18, marking a significant moment for OPPO Malaysia in its efforts to deliver bold and immersive brand experiences.

“Inspired by the youthful Dancing Aurora design of the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G, the activation featured a visually striking single balloon drop that transformed the venue into a vibrant spectacle of colour and energy.

“The record-breaking moment became the highlight of the roadshow, drawing crowds and engaging mall visitors who were also invited to participate in celebrations and receive surprise rewards hidden in selected balloons,” according to OPPO Malaysia in a statement issued after the event.

At the heart of the event was the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G, which is designed to enhance everyday creativity through advanced imaging and intelligent software features, with the roadshow further enlivened by performances from four local artists, namely Empty Page, Iman Troye, Kmy Kmo Luca Sicta and Fugo.

Among its highlights are a 50MP Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera for capturing wider group moments and a 3.5x Telephoto Vibe Portrait feature for stylish and expressive photography.

The series also includes AI Motion Photo Popout, allowing users to create dynamic images for social media, and runs on ColorOS 16, which offers smarter daily tools such as AI MindSpace to help users organise schedules and stay focused.

“The MBOR recognition reflects the brand’s commitment to creativity, innovation and meaningful engagement with consumers,” it said.

Following the roadshow, the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G is now available nationwide with exclusive and limited-time promotions until Feb 28, 2026 at all OPPO Brand Stores and authorised retail channels.

Customers purchasing the OPPO Reno15 Series 5G during the promotional period are entitled to complimentary gifts, including the OPPO Enco Air 4 and OPPO Enco Buds3 Pro, while stocks last, it said.
