DUNGUN, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- A dead green sea turtle was found by a local at Pantai Paka, near here this morning.
The body of the turtle, with wounds to its head, was found by a clerk, Mohd Zukri Kadir, 45, during a trip to the beach.
Mohd Zukri related that he found the remains of the turtle, measuring about 86 centimetres (cm) long and 81 cm wide at about 7.30 am.
"I found the remains of this rather large turtle at about three metres from the shore while jogging along the beach this morning,” he told reporters here today.
He added that the turtle was the second found at the beach in the past two days.
