KULIM, Jan 19 (Bernama) -- The remains of three family members who died in a tragic accident involving two cars at Jalan Kulim-Mahang yesterday were laid to rest at the Taman Mutiara Muslim Cemetery, Sungai Kob, at 5:55 pm today.
The funeral prayer was attended by approximately 700 congregants and was led by Zulfikri Salleh who is the Grand Imam of the Al Fateh Mosque in Taman Mutiara in Sungai Kob.
Earlier, the remains of Muhammad Syazwan Mohd Surodjidin, 25, and his two children, Muhammad Aqeel Afnan, 4, and Muhammad Affan Mikhael, 2, arrived at his mother’s home in Taman Mutiara at 3:59 pm before being taken to the mosque 10 minutes later.
Yesterday, the media reported that the three victims died at the scene after the Perodua Viva they were traveling in collided with a Proton S70, which is believed to have lost control and entered their lane.
The 27-year-old man driving the Proton S70 was reported to have escaped with minor injuries although the vehicle he was driving burst into flames.
