KULIM, Jan 25 (Bernama) -- The implementation of the Kulim Smart Care (KSC) system by the Kulim Kedah Municipal Council (MPKK) not only makes it easier for the public to channel complaints through the proper platform, but also enables prompt action to be taken.
MPKK president Datuk Elmi Yusoff said the smart complaint system also facilitated more efficient and transparent monitoring of actions taken.
“Through this system developed by MPKK, members of the public only need to download the KSC application onto their respective smartphones free of charge.
“For example, if there are damaged roads or non-functioning street lights, they just need to submit the complaint through the application,” he said after the launch of KSC and the MPKK Silver Jubilee 2026 Logo at a supermarket here today.
He added that the system was more user-friendly as individuals wishing to lodge complaints only needed to take a picture and submit it via the application.
“If the location or road name is not stated, it is not a problem, as our system can detect the location of the complaint. Take (a picture) and send it — the complainant’s information will be kept confidential.
“As for the type of complaints, they are not limited to matters under MPKK’s jurisdiction alone, but also cover all agencies in this district. Every complaint received will be forwarded directly to the relevant agency,” he said.
According to Elmi, MPKK also welcomed participation from government agencies and departments to collaborate with the council to further expand the system for mutual benefit.
Meanwhile, at the same event, he also launched the logo in conjunction with the MPKK Silver Jubilee 2026 celebration.
“This year marks 25 years of MPKK’s administration and it is a historic moment for MPKK personnel as well as the entire community in this district,” he said.
Elmi also presented prizes to the winners of the MPKK Silver Jubilee Official Logo Design Competition.
