MACHANG, Jan 26 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Higher Education Blueprint (RPTM) 2026-2035 sets out a strategic roadmap to cultivate future-proof and boost social innovation, said Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Kelantan branch rector Prof Dr Mohd Afandi Mat Rani.

He said university students embodied these ambitions, representing national aspirations and demonstrating both academic excellence and adaptability to future technological and socio-economic shifts.

“UiTM, through its various clubs, associations and volunteer platforms, provides a practical training ground for students to hone their soft skills, cultivate emotional maturity and shape their identity as competent community leaders,” he said.

He said in his speech at the UiTM Kelantan Branch 2025 Student Awards Ceremony here today, which was officiated by Yayasan Prihatin Nasional chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Aizuddin Ghazali.

The RPTM 2026-2035, launched by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim on Jan 20, sets out a new direction for the country’s higher education based on human values, well-being and sustainability to produce knowledgeable, ethical and globally competitive individuals.

At the ceremony, seventh-semester Bachelor of Accounting student Adam Mansor was named the 2025 Tokoh Siswa for the UiTM Kelantan branch, recognising his outstanding achievements and leadership potential.

Adam, 26, expressed hope that his success in being crowned Tokoh Siswa for the second consecutive year would serve as a motivation for fellow students to contribute meaningfully to the community, the local economy, and the nation.

“My mother, Zuraini Othman, 55, and my sister, Sabariah Mansor, 28, have always been my biggest support, giving me the encouragement I need to keep studying hard,” he said.
