JOHOR BAHRU, Jan 28 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is committed to strengthening cooperation with the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to ensure transparency, accountability, and public trust in law enforcement agencies are maintained.
Its Johor director, Hairuzam Mohmad Amin@Hamim said in a statement that this commitment aligns with the importance of internalising the principles of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy (NACS) as the main guide in shaping a work culture of integrity and accountability.
Earlier, he paid a courtesy visit on Johor police chief CP Datuk Ab Rahaman Arsad at the Johor contingent police headquarters here today.
The courtesy visit explored, among other things, opportunities for jointly organising sports and recreation programmes planned for this year, in addition to operational aspects, including the use of locker room facilities, if needed.
In the same statement, Ab Rahaman suggested that any investigation involving PDRM officers be expedited to ensure transparency and maintain public confidence in the integrity of the enforcement agency.
Also present during the courtesy visit were Johor MACC deputy director (Operations) Hairul Ilham Hamzah and Johor Crime Prevention and Community Safety Department head SAC Chuah Yong Huat.
