KUSKOP STAFF URGED TO STRENGTHEN NATIONAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM

PUTRAJAYA, Feb 14 (Bernama) -- All staff of the Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (KUSKOP) have been urged to enter the new year with renewed determination, a progressive mindset, and continued commitment to strengthening the national entrepreneurship ecosystem for shared prosperity.

In conjunction with the Chinese New Year, Minister Steven Sim said the Year of the Horse symbolises energy, courage, and resilience.

“Therefore, this spirit should be embraced in efforts to strengthen and empower micro, small, and medium enterprises across the country,” he said in a statement today.

Sim recently distributed mandarin oranges to ministry staff as a gesture of appreciation and solidarity.

He added that the tradition is not merely ceremonial, but carries symbolic prayers for prosperity and good fortune in the new year.

Meanwhile, in PENANG, the ministry contributed RM100,000 to the state Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRC) to support the volunteer organisation’s operations and emergency preparedness.

“The contribution forms part of our commitment to strengthen MRC’s role as a strategic partner in humanitarian efforts, particularly in providing emergency assistance to communities regardless of race or religion,” he said at the launch of MRC’s 24-hour ambulance service here today.

He emphasised that the spirit of togetherness is essential to ensure Malaysia can present itself as a united and competitive nation on the international stage.

Sim added that if the nation succeeds in moving forward as one team, the people will benefit from more sustainable economic growth and wider opportunities on the global stage.
