SAMA-SAMA HOTEL KLIA WELCOMES YEAR OF THE HORSE WITH VIBRANT, FESTIVE ATMOSPHERE

SEPANG, Feb 18 (Bernama) --  A vibrant and festive atmosphere enveloped Sama-Sama Hotel KLIA here today in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration as guests and visitors were welcomed by a live horse and pony at its entrance.

The hotel's lobby was transformed into a sea of auspicious red, symbolising luck, happiness and abundance.

Visitors, comprising local and international tourists, seized the opportunity to capture memorable photos with the horse and pony, while also being entertained with captivating cultural performances, such as the lion dance.

Sama-Sama Hotel KLIA General Manager Kulendra said the Lunar New Year Open House was a longstanding annual tradition for the hotel, aimed at celebrating together with guests and the surrounding community.

"This has always been our yearly tradition to open our doors and celebrate together with our guests and the surrounding community.

"The Lunar New Year Open House reflects our commitment not only to cultural celebration, but also to unity and giving back. In conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026, we are proud to showcase Malaysia’s rich diversity and hospitality to the world," he told Bernama at the hotel’s Chinese New Year Open House and CSR Celebration.

In the spirit of togetherness, the hotel continued its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in collaboration with Bodhi Homecare Center, Cheras, hosting underprivileged children for a special festive gathering.

The programme included festive treats, interactive activities and a memorable encounter with the horse and pony, creating joyful moments for the children during the auspicious occasion.

To further enrich the celebration, Sama-Sama Hotel KLIA has curated four traditional calligraphy sessions throughout this month, where guests are invited to receive personalised auspicious blessings handwritten by skilled calligraphers.

With vibrant performances, festive culinary delights and an immersive decor, the hotel’s Lunar New Year celebration in the Year of the Horse reflects the energy and determination of the hotel’s pursuit of excellence as Malaysia prepares to welcome the world in 2026.
