PTPTN ROLLS OUT IMRAN 2026 ACROSS FIVE ZONES

25/02/2026 09:34 PM

BANTING, Feb 25 (Bernama) -- The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has launched its nationwide tour covering five zones and seven locations through the 2026 Imarah Ramadan PTPTN (IMRAN) Programme, with Politeknik Banting in the Central Zone selected as the first stop yesterday.

Its chairman Datuk Seri Norliza Abdul Rahim said the programme, which runs until March 13, targets students, staff and the campus community to strengthen engagement between PTPTN and higher education institutions (IPTs), while raising awareness of education financing.

“IMRAN provides an opportunity for direct interaction between PTPTN and students to share information on our services, education financing and welfare support.

“This on-the-ground approach enables PTPTN to better understand students’ needs and build trust in the agency’s role within the education community,” she said at the launch of IMRAN 2026 at Politeknik Banting here.

Also present were PTPTN board member Datuk Seri Abdul Razak Jaafar and Higher Education Ministry, Polytechnic and Community College Education Department (Student Recruitment and Development)  director, Azirin Abdul Aziz.

Norliza said the tour will continue at City University (Central Zone), Politeknik Ungku Omar (Northern Zone), Politeknik Kota Bharu (Eastern Zone), Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan (Southern Zone), Politeknik Kota Kinabalu and Universiti Putra Malaysia Sarawak (Borneo Zone).

Activities at Politeknik Banting included a gotong-royong to prepare breaking-of-fast meals, spiritual programmes, financial counselling sessions and joint participation by students and PTPTN staff to foster co-operation and unity.

She said selecting Politeknik Banting as the first venue symbolised the start of the nationwide tour and underscored the importance of sustaining the programme across all zones.

It also provided an opportunity for the campus community to enliven Ramadan through welfare and spiritual activities.

At the same time, she stressed that IMRAN strengthens positive public perception of PTPTN, expands strategic collaboration with IPTs in each zone, and reinforces the values of care and togetherness within the education community.

Earlier, Norliza presented ‘Lestari Siswa MADANI’ aid (BLSM) worth RM500 each to three underprivileged students and distributed ‘Kit Kasih PTPTN’ contributions to 20 selected Politeknik Banting staff.

Introduced in 2021, IMRAN is part of PTPTN’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at strengthening ties and fostering unity within the higher education community nationwide.

The programme also serves as a platform to enhance strategic collaboration between PTPTN, students and IPTs, in line with PTPTN’s motto, ‘Your Opportunities for Success’.
