NUMBER OF SABAH FLOOD EVACUEES DROPS TO 363

KOTA KINABALU, March 2 (Bernama) -- The number of flood evacuees in Sabah continued to drop, with 363 from 133 families remaining at a relief centre tonight, compared to 377 from 136 families this afternoon.

State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat said the evacuees from 93 villages in Beaufort were being housed at Dewan DUN Banir, which has been open since Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the Malaysian Meteorological Department forecast dry weather in Sabah this morning, with several interior areas expected to experience thunderstorms and rain later in the afternoon and evening.
