IFTAR MUHIBBAH UTM 2026 A PLATFORM TO STRENGTHEN STRATEGIC TIES WITH KEY STAKEHOLDERS

KUALA LUMPUR, March 6 (Bernama) -- Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) continues to strengthen strategic ties with its key stakeholders through the hosting of the UTM 2026 Iftar Muhibbah ceremony.

UTM Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mohd Shafry Mohd Rahim said the event is not merely a breaking-of-fast gathering, but serves as a strategic platform to bolster trust, expand collaborative networks, and enhance synergy between the university and its partners.

“This ceremony brings hearts and minds together in a more relaxed yet meaningful atmosphere. This is the space to build long-term relationships based on mutual trust and shared aspirations,” he said during his speech at the event.

The ceremony, held at Residensi UTM here, gathered approximately 350 guests, including the university's top leadership and management, strategic industry partners, government agency representatives, media practitioners, alumni, and university staff.

Also present at the event was UTM Board of Directors Chairman Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar.

Meanwhile, Mohd Shafry said the spirit of muhibbah (goodwill) expressed is in line with UTM's new aspirations through the university's strategic plan, ASCEND 2030, which aims to see the institution listed among the world's leading universities.

He emphasised that to achieve this goal, UTM requires solid support from various parties, including collaborative partners and the media.

“UTM cannot move alone. We need the support of the media to share the university's stories and achievements both locally and abroad, alongside industry cooperation to produce innovation and more sustainable solutions in the future,” he said.

Furthermore, UTM hopes that the relationships established through this platform will continue to grow as a mutually reinforcing collaborative network, ultimately producing a lasting impact on society, industry, and the nation.
