SHAH ALAM, March 22 (Bernama) -- A total of 200 foreign nationals were inspected under Ops Omnipresence by the Immigration Department of Selangor to ensure compliance with immigration laws and to maintain public safety and order during the festive season.

Its director, Khairrul Aminus Kamaruddin, said it involved several hotspots, such as around bus stops in Port Klang, the Klang Bus Terminal, Kawasan 13 Klang, GM Klang, Dataran Otomobil Section 15 and the Taman Sri Muda Market in Shah Alam, as well as the Selayang Wholesale Market and Mentari Court in Petaling Jaya.

“Ops Omnipresence involved 16 state immigration officers who are committed to ensuring compliance with immigration laws, as well as to safeguard public safety and order.

“This department will continue to intensify enforcement operations and urges the public to channel information on suspicious activities to the authorities,” he said in a statement today.

He added that the operation, held from Friday (March 20) until today, was implemented using official departmental cars equipped with beacon lights to emphasise enforcement presence and boost public confidence in ongoing monitoring efforts.
