ETD TRANSFORMATION AT SUNGAI BULOH HOSPITAL IMPROVES SERVICE QUALITY, BOOSTS PATIENT SATISFACTION

KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 (Bernama) -- Transformation efforts at the Emergency and Trauma Department (ETD) of the Sungai Buloh Hospital (HSB) have successfully improved service quality and patient experience, reflecting continued commitment to strengthening the national healthcare system, says Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad.

He said the department now featured a refreshed look following last year’s allocation, including the provision of a more comfortable Discharge Lounge and the upgrading of the Green Zone Registration Counter, which was now more patient-friendly.

“We have successfully facilitated the workflow of staff and patient processes. The results are very encouraging, with patient satisfaction levels on Google ratings rising from an average of 3.0 to 4.7 out of 5 within just three months.

“This is clear evidence that the right infrastructure improvements can have a significant impact on the well-being of the people,” he said in a Facebook post after visiting the hospital in conjunction with Aidilfitri today.

He also expressed appreciation to HSB’s ETD team for their strong commitment to enhancing patient experience, alongside ongoing efforts to engage with patients and their families.

“The government will continue to ensure that every public healthcare facility is not only efficient, but also prioritises friendly and quality service for the people,” he said.

Meanwhile, Dzulkefly said he also took the opportunity to visit Nur Farisah Qistina, a 16-year-old from Kuala Selangor who is currently battling to recover from a stroke.

“After more than two months in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), she is now stable, fully conscious and undergoing rehabilitation despite still requiring breathing assistance through a tracheostomy tube.

“My dear Farisah, remain strong and resilient in facing this challenge. The entire Kuala Selangor community and the medical team here continue to pray for your speedy recovery and renewed spirit in life,” he said.
