KUALA LUMPUR, March 27 (Bernama) -- “Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia” has been the main focus of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Steven Sim Chee Keong in the first 100 days of helming the ministry.

Sim said that throughout his first 100 days, the  Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry (KUSKOP) recorded various important achievements, including a boost to financing funds, empowerment of the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) and improving the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“A hundred days in KUSKOP together with Malaysian entrepreneurs. Thank you KUSKOP staff, you delivered!

“I have only a single focus: Hebatkan Perniagaan Malaysia. We want to ‘Power Up’ Malaysian businesses, regardless of race and religion, Power Up, Jalan Teruih!,” he posted on Facebook today.

He also shared an infographic showing his achievements during the first 100 days as minister, including raising Bumiputera financing funding under Tabung Ekonomi Kumpulan Usaha Niaga Nasional (TEKUN Nasional) from RM300 million to RM500 million, introducing a new financing scheme of RM100 million through SME Bank and Bank Rakyat to help Chinese MSMEs as well as raising financing funding for Indian entrepreneurs under the Indian Community Entrepreneur Development Scheme from RM30 million to RM50 million.
