GOLD FUTURES END SLIGHTLY HIGHER

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 27 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended slightly higher on Friday despite lower interest.

The spot-month December 2024 contract increased to US$2,627.30 per troy ounce from Thursday’s US$2,626.10 and January 2025 went up to US$2,640.40 per troy ounce from US$2,639.20.

February 2025, March 2025 and April 2025 all settled higher at US$2,650.50 per troy ounce compared with US$2,649.30 on Thursday.

Trading volume totalled 22 lots, lower than yesterday’s 34 lots, while open interest narrowed to 38 contracts from 40 contracts previously.
