GOLD FUTURES END MOSTLY LOWER ON PROFIT-TAKING AFTER RECENT GAINS

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- Gold futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower on Tuesday on profit-taking.

The September 2025 contract declined to US$3,806.6 per troy ounce from US$3,817.3 on Monday,  October 2025 slid to US$3,818.0 from US$3,832.4, while the November 2025 went down to US$3,836.2 from US$3,850.6 previously.

The December 2025, February 2026, April 2026, and June 2026 contracts all settled lower at US$3,854.6 per troy ounce versus US$3,869.0 on Monday.

The trading volume shrank to 106 lots from 339 from yesterday's close, while open interest fell to 155 contracts from 375 contracts previously.

Physical gold stood at US$3,826.85 per troy ounce based on the London Bullion Market Association’s afternoon fix on Sept 29, 2025.
