KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 20 (Bernama) -- The government remains committed to preserving the unique cultural heritage of the Kadazan, and all ethnic groups in Sabah and Sarawak, ensuring that it is passed down to future generations, said Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

He expressed this commitment when receiving a courtesy call from the Kadazan Society Sabah (KSS), led by its president Datuk Seri Marcel Leiking, along with eight members of the association’s committee, today.

“KSS is an organisation which is committed to preserving and honouring the cultural heritage of the Kadazan community in Sabah.

“This meeting serves as a vital platform to strengthen ties between the government and the Kadazan community, while also providing an opportunity to exchange views on efforts to preserve and promote the culture, language, and traditions that define this community,” Anwar said, in a post on his Facebook page.

The Prime Minister also expressed hope that the close collaboration between the government and KSS would continue to strengthen national unity, by celebrating the cultural diversity of the country's various ethnic groups.
