KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 27 (Bernama) -- As the festive season approaches, Sunway Malls is transforming into a kaleidoscopic wonderland with the launch of Christmas Colourama.
Inspired by the timeless beauty of stained glass, this year’s celebration brings the festive spirit alive through dazzling, colourful displays, immersive activities and joyous moments, creating the perfect setting for families, friends and communities to come together.
Sunways Malls in a statement said across all Sunway Malls, Christmas Colourama promises a colourful experience filled with magic and memories.
“Picture vibrant hues reflecting festive lights, larger-than-life Christmas trees, the laughter of children echoing through grand atriums and heartwarming moments of gift-giving - all in a celebration that blends the warmth of tradition with the thrill of modern festivities,” the statement read.
During the grand launch at Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Malls Chief Executive Officer HC Chan said the Christmas Colourama is not only about spectacular decorations but also about creating memories through interactive experiences.
“This year, we wanted to take Christmas to new heights by blending the timeless warmth of tradition with the vibrant energy of modern celebration. With an array of festive shopping and dining options, we are thrilled to welcome everyone to celebrate the season with us across all our Sunway Malls,” shared Chan.
Additionally, in partnership with Tourism Malaysia and UOB, all UOB credit cardholders can enjoy exclusive perks and special rewards through redemption activities as part of the Malaysia Year-End Sale (MYES) and Black Friday Sales hosted by Sunway Malls, offering even more opportunities to shop, save, and celebrate this festive season.
According to the statement, Sunway Pyramid takes the lead in offering a festive wonderland filled with vibrant colours and activities that include free gift-wrapping service at the D’ Special Day Christmas Booth and a magical Bath & Body Works pop-up booth offering special Christmas workshops.
“For families, you can craft holiday wreaths (Dec 1 and 8), decorate adorable gingerbread (Dec 15), create your dazzling crystal ball ornament (Dec 22) and partake in festive face and hand painting (Dec 28 and 29) that will add even more holiday magic.
“For those feeling lucky, there will be a special lucky draw activity in conjunction with the newly launched OASIS, along with a Christmas Artisan Bazaar and joyous Christmas carolling performances,” it said.
As the year draws to a close, Sunway Pyramid will also host a spectacular New Year's Eve Countdown, featuring live performances, fireworks and the much-anticipated OASIS Lucky Draw announcement, the mall will extend its operating hours until 1 am on New Year's Eve.

Meanwhile, Sunway Big Box brings the festive spirit alive with the Paddington in Peru movie theme, offering plenty of interactive activities and Paddington-themed displays.
According to Sunway Malls, shoppers can enter a draw for an exclusive Paddington Tea Party or participate in a Paddington-themed colouring contest, with exclusive merchandise and RM200 Padini vouchers to be won.
