LTAT MOBILISES RM782,800 IN FLOOD RELIEF AID ACROSS MALAYSIA

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) Group of Companies delivers comprehensive flood relief assistance, worth RM782,800 to support communities affected by the recent floods across Malaysia.

LTAT in a statement said in collaboration with GLIC/GLC Demi Rakyat & Negara (GDRN), LTAT’s Group of Companies works closely with the Ministry of Defence, Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF), Social Welfare Department (JKM) and several non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

The companies includes Pharmaniaga Berhad, Boustead Holdings Berhad, Boustead Plantations, Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd (BHPetrol), Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (BHIC), Boustead Properties Berhad (BProp) and Affin Group Berhad (Affin), 

"Pharmaniaga distributed over 24,000 packs of essential drugs including vitamins and supplements in Terengganu and Kelantan, while Boustead Plantations contributed RM50,000 to NGOs in Kelantan, Kedah, Terengganu and Pahang.

“Boustead Holdings Berhad, BProp and BHIC  provided RM27,500 in contributions to NGOs in Kelantan. BHPetrol supplied 400 packs of essential items to evacuation centres through collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and ATM,” according to the statement.

Meanwhile, Affin offered its Natural Disaster Relief Programme to support clients affected by the floods, offering financial relief on a range of loans and financial products, including the option to apply for a moratorium of up to six months, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

LTAT's chief executive Mohammad Ashraf Md Radzi in the same statement said that LTAT continues to be proactive in its efforts, collaborating closely with partners to ensure meaningful support for Malaysians impacted by the floods.

"Our primary focus is to provide timely support to families, especially MAF personnel and veterans, who play a critical role in disaster response. We hope this aid will offer essential relief and care as they navigate the challenges of the rainy season. Our hearts go out to all those affected by the floods, and we stand in solidarity with them as they rebuild their lives.

"We also wish to express our heartfelt appreciation for the tireless efforts of the frontliners, volunteers and support teams – especially the members of the armed forces – whose unwavering dedication and selflessness are making a profound impact on the lives of those in need,” he said.
