KANGAR, Dec 4 (Bernama) -- The quarters project for the security forces responsible for guarding the border in Padang Besar was carefully planned to provide a conducive environment as well as safe and modern facilities.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said the facilities provided not only meet the physical needs but also support the spiritual and moral aspects of the country's security personnel.
He said it was a step in strengthening the country's security and well-being and safeguarding the welfare of employees of agencies under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA) which was in line with the aspirations of the MADANI Government.
"Alhamdulillah, this morning I was at the handover ceremony of the quarters project for the security forces responsible for guarding the border in Padang Besar, Perlis... Hopefully, this effort will continue to be a catalyst for the excellence of our country's border security forces," he said in a post on his official Facebook page today.
Saifuddin added that the quarters project, which will be occupied by Company C, 2nd Battalion of the General Operations Force (PGA), among others, includes 125 units of quarters, surau, marching ground, kindergarten, multipurpose hall and children's playground.
