PETALING JAYA, Jan 23 (Bernama) -- Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) vice president Datuk Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayob aspires to pursue the positive path pursued by current FAM president Tan Sri Hamidin Mohd Amin who has helmed the national governing body all these years.
Mohd Joehari who is just a step away from being announced for the ‘hot seat’ as FAM president, which is due for an announcement during the FAM Congress on Feb 15, said all the plans initiated by Hamidin throughout his tenure has been very good.
"We too have all these while (FAM office bearers for 2021-2025), and I as the vice president have always followed the leadership of Tan Sri (Hamidin) all these years.
"There is nothing new, we may just make some improvement on every aspect of football in the country," he said when met after the signing of a sponsorship agreement between FAM and PUMA Malaysia, here today.
Mohd Joehari however, did not deny the possibility of seeking Hamidin’s advise to steer FAM in the future.
"The advice is always there, we have always worked together, so there is always (advice), and we have also learned from Tan Sri for the past seven to eight years. After this, we may also ask for his advice and views continuously," he said.
Mohd Joehari at the same time thanked all the affiliates who nominated his name and remains determined to take FAM to a better level.
