MELAKA, Jan 25 (Bernama) -- The Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) Melaka is organising a four-day Rahmah MADANI Sales in conjunction with the Chinese New Year at 57 locations statewide, starting today.
State Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Allex Seah Shoo Chin said consumers, especially the Chinese community, would benefit from discounts of up to 30 percent for the festive season.
There will be mobile Rahmah MADANI Sales at popular spots such as the State Constituency Development and Coordination Committee office complex in each constituency, as well as local supermarkets, night market sites, fields, community halls and mosque compounds, he said.
“The sales are being held in all six parliamentary constituencies in Melaka to benefit the Chinese community as well as all residents,” he said after launching the Chinese New Year 2025 Festive Season Maximum Price Control Scheme (SHMMP), which was also attended by state KPDN director Norena Jaafar, here today.
Seah added that consumers can obtain information regarding the locations of the sales on the Melaka KPDN official Facebook page.
Meanwhile, he said Melaka KPDN will also organise a Rahmah MADANI ‘Back to School’ sale at four supermarkets from Jan 30 to Feb 2, featuring a wide range of school essentials, including uniforms, extra-curricular attire, shoes, stationery, and school bags, at discounts of up to 30 percent.
