KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 20 (Bernama) -- Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil today met with the Arts, Live Festival and Events Association (ALIFE), which represents concert organisers and major ticketing companies, to review existing ticket refund mechanisms for concert cancellations.
In a Facebook post, Fahmi said the discussion also covered the rights of ticket buyers under consumer protection laws.
“Apart from ticketing agents, consumers can seek compensation through the Tribunal for Consumer Claims, which will assess and determine their eligibility.
“This discussion reaffirmed the MADANI Government’s commitment to protecting consumer rights and ensuring a fair and effective compensation mechanism,” he said.
Also present were Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching, Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) Enforcement Division director-general Datuk Azman Adam and Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Section director Zubir Hamsa.
