GAMALUX EXPANDS WITH NEW PULAU INDAH PLANT, EYES LEADERSHIP IN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 24 (Bernama) -- Gamalux has reached a significant milestone with the construction of its new plant at Pulau Indah, which is progressing on schedule and is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2025.

In a statement today, the premier producer of sustainable and renewable energy feedstocks for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) said the facility will serve as a key pillar in Gamalux’s expansion strategy, enhancing production capacity and reinforcing its ability to meet the rising global demand for sustainable energy solutions.

“Spanning 3.23 hectares within the Pulau Indah Industrial Park, the plant will feature state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies, eco-friendly processes and an integrated supply chain network,” it said.

Chief executive officer Usman Ahmed said with that with an annual production capacity of around 90,000 tonnes of various renewable and sustainable feedstocks for SAF and hydrotreated vegetable oil, this facility will not only support the company’s existing markets but also open new opportunities for high-value sustainable energy solutions.

“The new manufacturing plant at West Port, Port Klang, embodies our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. It is a cornerstone of our future expansion plans, enabling us to tap into new markets, create more job opportunities, and solidify our position as an industry leader,” he added.

Looking ahead, Gamalux aims to pioneer sustainable practices that align with global environmental, social and governance standards. It plans to diversify its product lines and expand its market reach.

“We are investing in cutting-edge research and development and fostering strategic partnerships to drive shared growth, contribute to green energy solutions, and create lasting value for stakeholders and communities,” it said.

In conjunction with the 36th Palm & Lauric Oils Price Outlook Conference & Exhibition (POC 2025), Gamalux hosted its highly anticipated Gamalux Business Dinner 2025, celebrating the company’s achievements and outlining its ambitious vision for the future.

Among the attendees were Selangor Chief Minister Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Malaysia Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, Ministry of Plantation and Commodities deputy secretary-general Datuk Razali Mohamad, and Malaysian Palm Oil Board director-general Datuk Dr Ahmad Parveez Gulam Kadir.
