SEREMBAN, March 1 (Bernama) -- The Jualan Rahmah MADANI@Pasar (PJRM@Pasar) initiative in Negeri Sembilan is offering a 30 per cent price reduction from the market price, with RM1.9 million in subsidies.

Negeri Sembilan Domestic Trade and Costs of Living (KPDN NS) director Muhammad Zahir Mazlan. said the discounts, which began yesterday, continue until tomorrow.

He said that in conjunction with the 'Mantai Puasa' tradition in the state, this week's PJRM will be held at 49 selected locations to enhance preparations ahead of Ramadan.

He said three PJRM implementation methods are being carried out: within premises, outside premises; and through mobile sales.

"For example, at PJRM@Pasar Ampangan, five chicken sellers, two beef sellers, two fish sellers, and two vegetable sellers offer lower prices. The implementation of PJRM@Pasar in the state is expected to continue throughout the year, involving selected markets across seven districts," he said in a statement today.

Muhammad Zahir said that among the items available to visitors are local bone-in beef, sold at RM25-RM28 per kilogramme.

He said that various Ramadan essential goods are available, including glutinous rice, ketupat, coconut milk and others.

"NS KPDN is also planning to sustain this momentum by organising PJRM for 'Mantai Raya,' given the positive response and feedback from visitors.

"We invite all citizens to continue supporting the MADANI government initiative through Payung RAHMAH by visiting and shopping at designated PJRM locations," he said.
