KUALA LUMPUR, March 17 (Bernama) -- Alliance Bank Malaysia Bhd will extend its flood relief assistance programme to customers in Sabah and Sarawak to help ease financial burdens.
In a statement today, the bank said the assistance comprises loan moratorium option of up to six months, repayment modifications and waivers of fees and charges for customers and businesses affected by floods in several states nationwide.
Group chief executive officer Kellee Kam said the bank hopes the programme will encourage customers to come forward to seek help.
The flood relief assistance is open for application from now until April 9, 2025, offering relief payments on all conventional and Islamic financing facilities.
The bank will also waive fees and charges for debit and ATM cards, cheque books and passbooks lost or damaged during the flood.
